MiDAS COURSE OUTLINE
(Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme)

The MiDAS is a nationally recognised certificate designed to enhance VOLUNTEER drivers awareness of the safety aspect of minibus driving.

Length of course: 4 - 6 hours

Assessment Requirements: Observed for competence, with written and practical tests.

Course content:

-- Action and Emergency Procedures
-- Awareness of the health and safety issues of minibus driving.
-- Liability insurance, workplace practice and policy issues.
-- Manual handling
-- Epileptic Seizures
-- Speed awareness
-- Practical driving assessment
